These programs are often called spyware, that collect and send an individualâs personal information to a third party without their consent. You are right, there are lots of anti-spyware out in the market but some of them have limited capabilities. And also beware of fake ones. There are bogus anti-spyware roaming around the web. You have to be very careful when choosing the right one.

I just hate the spyware. Sometimes, the usual anti virus software is not very effective to prevent spyware, which is unfortunate.

It's necessary to have an anti-spyware because it ypically scans the registry, programs, and operating system files. So you better review the product before installing it to your system. And also there are downloadable ones on the internet that are very hard to remove from the system.

It's always a good idea to have software like this to assist you in getting rid of junk or spam on your computer. If you don't have a program like this, you're at risk of getting infected with a virus.

Do you think this software is actually any good? The problem I have had is that when I buy the “next best thing”, it always seems to let me down in one way or another. This can be down to the interface, or the fact that the software is just an upsell for something else the company is trying to promote and sell. I'm interested to know if this is actually different.

Thank goodness for my anti-spyware. I tend to use the microsoft security essentials as it is free and is updated nightly with the latest virus and spyware definitions.
